ECONOMIC AND COMMERCIAL RELATIONS BETWEEN TURKEY AND DENMARK , 26.01.2016
The “Trade Agreement” signed in 1948 between Turkey and Denmark constitutes the main legal framework of the commercial relations between the two countries.
The volume of trade between Turkey and Denmark has reached to 2,1 billion USD (imports 1,034 billion USD, exports 1,076 billion USD) in 2014.
Renewable energy, organic goods, chemicals and pharmacy industries, agriculture and building sectors are the main areas for the economic cooperation of the two countries. More than 600 Danish firms are active in the production and service sectors in Turkey.
In order to evaluate the economic cooperation between the two countries, the Turkish-Danish Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) has been established in 2013.
